On June the 7th 2015, Praia da Duquesa in Cascais, Portugal will host the 4th annual Swim Challenge - Swim for the Ocean.

This month, the town of Cascais will also celebrate its 650 years of existence, with memories of kings and queens that once lived and spent their holidays here. This year another 500 swimmers are expected to join in this momentous event.

This year, Ocean Recovery Alliance has partnered with the event to bring a special message with regard to respecting our marine environment. The direct contact with nature is one of the privileges that makes this sport a phenomenon of rapid global growth, and is becoming and important channel to activate leadership in the stewardship of our ocean. Get pumped for the ocean ahead of time as well, with the new Ocean in Motion Film Festival - Portugal, with screenings in Lisbon and Cascais from June 4-6th. We look forward to seeing you there!
